Christine Minucci is a wife and mother of two young daughters who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is a survivor and warrior of an arteriovenous malformation. After being diagnosed in November 2014 and surviving the brain aneurysm rupture in March 2015, Christine had to adjust to a life she never imagined for herself.
Prior to diagnosis, Christine was a teacher’s assistant to nursery-school-level children, focusing mostly on children with special needs. She loved to take the classroom home with her, often being hands-on in crafting and creativity with her daughters. But after the rupture, her life changed drastically. The AVM slowed her abilities down, and she found herself unable to do many of the things that used to drive her.
However, Christine believes that writing is the only creative venture that her body will not give up on. Despite the AVM taking away her ability to read, she is treading on as she writes a collection of poems and short essays about her condition.
Mommy, You Can Read? is set to be released in the Summer of 2023. Her work is currently featured in Venus Rising: Musings & Lore from Women Writers.

"Our Galaxy Publishing presents a noteworthy, honest recount of lessons and lore from influential women writers breaking barriers and amplifying their voices collectively."
When a Venus woman rises, she is in power to express herself. She is honing her passion, desires, and truth, everchanging and evolving. A woman rising in Venus controls her narrative, telling stories to communicate her truth, breathing life into the values that unite her with other transcending women. The stories of these women speak to the beauty and pain, the guts and glory, the thriving and striving of all it means to be in this embodiment. Venus Rising is an anthological collection of inspiring women writers who shine a light on their inner verities and lay their wounds bare for us all. Enter their world, see through their eyes, and rise like Goddess Venus herself. 100% of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to FemTruth Youth's non-profit efforts to bring their 3-act play, Gaslit, to communities to raise awareness in the reimagining of school curriculum and culture inclusive of menstrual pain.
