Silvia Young is a Latina, California-based, change agent in female empowerment. Twenty-five years of gaslighting finally led her to an endometriosis diagnosis, and related infertility, C-PTSD, and disability.
What started as a health journey, uncovered truth in gender bias and discrimination, evolved into a series of published works, FemTruth™️, and launched a non-profit and coalition, FemTruth Youth, to reimagine curriculum and culture through artivism.
Silvia is also a seasoned menstrual equity organizer in California policy and has co-written four proposed policy recommendations including women’s health and education.
Her anthology, Good Girl, Bad Period: Breaking the Silence on Medical Misogyny and Gaslighting Through the Lens of Endometriosis, is set to be released on September 5, 2023.
